Electro-mechanical Maintenance Technician

The Electro-mechanical Maintenance Technician conducts, maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components. Applies knowledge of electrical/ electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of manufacturing.?

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:?

  • Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, and gauges, and test equipment

  • Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials and principles of operation and application of electrical equipment

  • Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment

  • Preforms preventative maintenance functions as directed

  • Assists maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting

Education and/or Experience: ?

  • Two years applicable experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Computer experience/operation and PLC trouble shooting are necessity

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic testing

  • Working knowledge of RS Logix 5000 and 500

  • Able to read electrical, mechanical,hydraulic and pneumatic schematics

  • Basic math

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Must be highly safety conscious

  • Able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team?environment, and especially must be able to interface and communicate with line operators in order to assist with repairs and troubleshooting

Work Environment:??Manufacturing facility, metal fabrication; exposure?to high voltage electricity

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb into overhead structures, to work beneath machines, and in close quarters preforming analysis and repair work

  • Ability to mount tooling that weighs up to 60 lbs. with the assistance of lift trucks, hoists and cranes.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
