Summary The HR Generalist is primarily responsible for providing support to the organization to achieve efficient and effective HR operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources and be able to handle a variety of tasks related to payroll administration, employee relations, onboarding, recruitment, and benefits administration.
This position is full-time and on-site in our Painesville, Ohio manufacturing facility.
Duties and Responsibilities Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to payroll, benefits, PTO and leave policies, unemployment, facilitation of performance evaluation process, and documentation of training and development progress.
Maintain ATS, assist with the recruitment process including posting job openings, screening candidates, and facilitating hiring and onboarding by working cross functionally with managers and new hires.
Conduct benefit orientation sessions when needed.
Provide ongoing support to employees on HR-related issues, including benefits, policies, and procedures, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate party.
Maintain accurate electronic employee records and ensure compliance with all filing requirements.
Provide support and participation in employee engagement activities.
Provide HRIS reporting as needed.
Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Participate in HR projects and initiatives as needed.
Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR Generalist role including payroll administration.
Minimum of 3 years of experience with HRIS systems, Paylocity strongly preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook Required Skills/Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Required to stand, walk, sit, and type with hands and arms.
Required to climb stairs.
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
