DAYS/HOURS:
Monday - Friday / 8:
30am-4:
30pm RATE:
$13.
00 starting rate, plus a FREE family YMCA membership
Essential Functions:
Provides leadership to and supervises a group of children.
Plans and implements program activities that are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate, and consistent with YMCA values.
Adheres to program standards including safety and cleanliness standards.
Attends staff meetings and trainings.
Maintains positive relations with parents and other staff.
Models' relationship-building skills (including Listen First) in all interactions.
May supervise teen leaders/ junior counselors.
May participate in overnight camping.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent; one year or more of college preferred.
Previous experience working with children preferably in a day camp setting.
Experience preferred in one or more of the following areas:
outdoor living, archery, boating, camping, songs/music, skits, sports, aquatics, recreational games, etc.
At least 18 years of age.
Able to computer Y provided CPR/EAD and First Aid certifications and Child Abuse Prevention training.
Previous experience with diverse populations preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Medium work.
Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
The worker is subject to noise.
There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
Frequently subject to environmental conditions and unstable surfaces.
Activities occur mostly outside.
Standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, and crouching frequently throughout the work shift.
Use hands and fingers for fine motor skills frequently.
Walking throughout the classroom, facility, property, and ability to climb stairs frequently.
Have visual acuity to determine safety, security, and cleanliness of participants in the program as well as the facility.
Receive detailed information through sound as well as express through spoken word.
Read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
